The news follows two of the festival’s 2022 dates that were canceled because big-name acts pulled out.
The Grass is Greener festival which is held at regional locations around Australia, which include Gold Coast, Canberra, Cairns, and Geelong has had many issues throughout its short existence.
In early October later year, the festival headliners all pulled out. ONEFOUR took to their Instagram to say, “We are sad to announce we are no longer able to perform at The Grass Is Greener Festival 2022.”
“After multiple attempts to work through many challenges with The Grass Is Greener, they have failed to honour their obligations and cannot deliver the show we and our fans expect.” That post has since been deleted.
The event organiser Hand Picked Events and Marketing also canceled the Geelong and Canberra dates because they said Covid, cost blowout, and weather issues made the events near impossible to run.
Hand Picked sadly went into liquidation on July 17 according to 7news.
