Sitting state member for Chaffey, Tim Whetstone will again stand for Parliament after gaining pre-selection for the Liberal Party.
At the most recent state election held in 2022 Whetstone gathered over 54% of first preference votes and has held the seat since 2010.
Over the weekend Whetstone successfully held of a pre-selection challenge from Loxton woman Nicolle Jachmann, who at the 2018 state election ran unsuccessfully for office in the Legislative council.
