Local farmers are being called to keep clear of powerlines, following a number of incidents bringing down power lines on farms.
In the last two years 65 incidents have been recorded, seeing various farm equipment getting tangled in power lines.
Paul Roberts, Head of Corporate Affairs at SA Power Networks said as seeding begins, Understandably everyone is keen to get the crops in, but in the rush, they can potentially put themselves and others at life-threatening risk,”
To avoid potential dangers, local farmers can access GPS mapping of South Australia’s electricity distribution infrastructure via the Look Up and Live app and website www.lookupandlive.com.au
