Three men have been arrested on firearms charges after police raided a home in Paisley, seizing weapons and drugs.

Officers searched the home on the Sturt Highway on Monday, allegedly uncovering sixteen gel-blaster firearms and a “small amount” of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Gel guns are used in combats sports such as paintball and are illegal in most Australian states, unless they are appropriately licensed and registered.

He was due to face court on Tuesday afternoon.

A 50-year-old and an 18-year-old were charged with possessing a firearm without a licence and contravening a provision of the code of practice.
