Waikerie RSL members will soon be stepping up in the tech world, through the purchase of a smart TV – following a $1700 grant.
Local MP, Tony Pasin recently presented the grant, saying “Volunteers like the ones at the Waikerie RSL are the backbone of our communities and this grant will help ensure the Waikerie RSL has the resources it needs to continue its important Work.
Waikerie RSL President Andrew Walker welcomed the funding, highlighting the benefits it will
bring to the local community.
“We are thankful for Mr Pasin’s support in securing this grant. This equipment provides more
modern facilities for our members and guests who use our hall for events such as training,
birthdays, weddings and wakes,” Mr Walker said.
The funding formed part of the broader 2023-2024 Volunteer Grants Program, which saw a total of $66,225 awarded to 21 organisations across the electorate.
