Farm safety messaging will be high on the agenda this week, with National Farm Safety week running through to Saturday.
The Riverland & Mallee has a high number of locals employed in farming roles though many different agricultural industries.
Tragically, agriculture remains one the nation’s most dangerous industries, with a new campaign launched today hoping to address the issue titled ‘In Safe Hands’.
Farmsafe Australia Chair Felicity Richards said the ‘In Safe Hands’ campaign encourages farm businesses to embrace safety as a personal responsibility and to celebrate the everyday actions that contribute to a safer farm environment.
