The driver of a car that allegedly crashed into the Renmark Hospital might have some explaining to do.
Around 12.40am this morning, Police spotted a white Suzuki station wagon travelling on Renmark Avenue and attempted to stop it however it didn’t stop.
Around 5 minutes later Police were called to Renmark Hospital, following reports the same car had collided into the main entrance of the hospital and then left the scene.
Police then located the car at a shopping centre car park, were Police say the driver upon spotting patrols drove towards the patrol car and mounted a kerb. Police attempted to speak with the driver, however the car took off again.
Finally, the car was stopped on Industry Road and the driver was removed from the car.
The driver was then submitted to a drug test where he returned a positive result to methamphetamine.
He was then taken to Hospital by SA Ambulance Crews with further assessments expected to take place.
