The Berri Barmera Council have announced grants of up to $5000, as part of their Environmental Management and Sustainability Grants Program
Locals are encouraged to apply for the funding for projects that improve the local environment and sustainability goals of council, such as sustainable water management, environmentally sustainable tourism, and productive horticulture.
Berri Barmera Council Mayor Ella Winnall said the expansion of council’s community grants program looks to enable the community to undertake activities that align with the council’s Environmental Management and Sustainability Strategy.
“A small contribution for a community group can enable outcomes that far exceed the financial value and we know that this grant stream will allow locals to get involved, learn new skills and work towards a more sustainable environment”. Said Mayor Winnall.
Applications are set to close on the 28th of April, further details can be found via the Council’s website.
