The cause of a grass fire this week in Cadell is now under investigation.
Just after 9pm Wednesday, nearly 30 CFS firefighters were called to a scrub fire at Hogwash Bend.
The CFS outlined “The fire was located 300m from the campgrounds, with wind pushing the fire in the opposite direction from campers limiting immediate risk.”
By Thursday morning the fire was extinguished, with National Parks and Wildlife staff continuing to check the scene.
Meanwhile, smoke from bushfires in Victoria continue to be seen in the Riverland.
It’s expected the weather pattern will continue to push smoke over the region in coming days, with the CFS saying they are aware of the situation.
Locals who see flames or thick smoke plumes are urged to call 000.
