Two outstanding Riverland residents have been recognised as part of the Australia Day Honours program.
Following a life time of dedication to the sport, Berri’s Wendy Gambling was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to Netball as an administrator.
On top of many roles, Wendy remains a vital contributor to the sport through her Media responsibilities which date back many decades.
Cherylee Pedler was also named as a OAM recipient for service to the community through a range of roles and organisations.
Some of the highlights include work with the local Lions club which has extended through to Lions international.
