The long weekend has seen a number of traffic offences detected in the Riverland.
Around 6.30pm Saturday at Berri’s Riverview Drive Riverland Police reported a 21-year-old woman from Windsor Gardens. She allegedly returned a positive breath test result of 0.093.
She received a six-month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear at Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
Then on Sunday, Riverland Police stopped a 36-year-old man from Berri on Vaughan Terrace in Berri, were it’s alleged he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.157 – more than three times the legal limit.
He was reported for drink driving, issued with a twelve-month instant loss of license, and had his vehicle impounded. He will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
