Sturt Highway grass fires  

A series of grass fires along the Sturt Highway is now the subject of a Police investigation.

Just prior to midday on Saturday, a grass fire on the side of the Sturt Highway at Woolpunda was reported.

This was quickly extinguished, however shortly after two further grass fires were reported at Kingston on Murray and at Waikerie.

The fires were extinguished before they could spread to any properties, with Murray Mallee Police now calling for information from the public.
