Local councils could push for compensation as a data outage continues to impact operations.
All three major Riverland Councils have used a cloud based data service provided by Telstra, which was due to end later this year.
Under the service agreement, outages were said to be no longer than two hours, with services impacted including payment systems, dial before you dig & development applications.
The outage has now impacted local councils for three weeks, as they now transition to new providers.
The matter was raised by local Federal MP Tony Pasin in Parliament this week, who outlined he was watching the situation very closely and he would make sure communities were compensated.
