A man has been arrested for drug trafficking following a search in Renmark earlier this week.
On Wednesday (14/2) Riverland Police attended a Renmark home to conduct a search in relation to a theft investigation.
Police allege the resident hindered and resisted police on their arrival and the man was subsequently arrested.
Officers searched the premises and located approximately 12 grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, paraphernalia relating to drugs and drug dealing, and several items of jewellery linked to a recent serious criminal trespass and theft.
The 54-year-old man was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, hinder and resist police, and unlawful possession.
He was refused police bail and appeared in the Berri Magistrates Court Yesterday (15/2).
Police have again called for anyone in the community with information on the sale, distribution or manufacture of illicit drugs to report it to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
