There’s now fewer barriers for those wanting the Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV) vaccine.
Nine South Australians were detected with the mosquito Bourne disease last year, sadly seeing resulting in two deaths.
There’s a heightened risk of the virus through the River Murray region, and recently the vaccination requirement to be outdoors for four hours on most days was removed.

An extra 9000 doses have now been secured by the State Government, and so far over 23,000 vaccinations have so far been administered in South Australia.
